Jen Bryant
I take my kaleidoscope off the shelf,
look through the little hole at the end
of the cardboard tube;
I turn and turn and turn and turn,
letting the crystals shift into strange
and beautiful patterns, letting the pieces fall
wherever they will.
My Thoughts on the Piece
I really liked the unusual format of this poem because it put a lot of emphasis on the turning of the kaleidoscope in a sort of non obvious way. I also like how the last line can be applied to letting life go on as it will.
