Original Poem : A Performance in the Woods

Under the glistening moonlight, a magician awaits his audience

The souls follow the starlight to a broad clearing in the forest with loud and vigorous foot steps

They glimpse up at the man, his tall form draped in luxurious cloth, a plan satchel rests at his side

Soon the show began

The magician held his hands up high, one gripping a small container of ointment and the other a small frog

He quickly swiped his finger through the cup and applied the substance to the frog

the frog then spontaneously bursted into flames, leaving a raccoon in its place

As the raccoon recoiled from the magician’s touch the audience was frozen in a state of awe, staring blatantly up at the man whose dedication shone through his work

and with that he took his leave
